OK, so I am finding it difficult to decide on a hair salon in Eugene to go to. The last person I went to, this guy with an 80's goth style, left me very disappointed with what to me looked like a soccer mom asymmetrical bob. Very disappointed as based on his style, and my experience at that salon before, I thought I was in good hands. So I am looking for a salon, or a particular hair dresser(if there are any recommendations), who can do a great short, layered bob with straight bangs. I want to find someone who isn't afraid of layers, i like the chunkier, shorter layers with out being "I did this on my own using a mirror" and I don't want mullet layers, shorter than a lot of people would go but not mullet short(I had to ask the last guy to redo the one inch from the bottom of layers he put in and i couldn't tell the difference, I think he was done with me at that point and it's so awkward to say hey you need to redo it again). I also want edgy, not the soccer mom look, which I'm not saying is a bad look, but I'm 24 and that's not what I am going for. I also need someone who can do great straight bangs. Thick ones too, not those thin straight bangs that you get parts in or they do that bubbling thing where they donut around your forehead. I have only had my bangs cut by someone once and it was by a beauty school student(my friend highly recommended this school, terrible mistake) and it turned into her and her teacher flat ironing my botched bangs and hair spraying them repeatedly to try and "fix" them. To get even more picky, I am a student and honestly I hate the idea of paying more than $50 for a hair cut, which I notice that is the price range of the majority of salons here. I'm considering going to Just Hair on 13th. I've also looked at I Run With Scissors and Bombshell Beauty Lounge. HOWEVER, I've noticed that none of the hair stylists at these places have portfolios and the websites don't have great client photos either, one of the salon's facebook photos are almost all memes too(funny ones, but I want to see client's hair). So that is what is throwing me off in choosing a place to go to.
